IT Support Assistant / Intern – Learn IT from the Ground Up

Role SummaryWe’re looking for an organized, motivated IT Assistant or Intern who wants to learn IT by doing. You’ll start with basic support tasks and shadow more experienced technicians, building your confidence and skills along the way. This is a great fit for a student, recent graduate, or someone looking to break into IT without years of experience.
What you'll do
  • Help set up computers, printers, and networking gear
  • Assist with cable runs, hardware swaps, and basic troubleshooting
  • Manage inventory, equipment check-ins, and documentation
  • Shadow IT techs on client visits and learn by doing
  • Provide friendly, professional support to clients and team members
  • Help keep the shop clean and organized
Qualifications
  • Very strong Interest in technology and willingness to learn
  • Some coursework, certifications, or hands-on experience in IT is a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation and professional appearance
  • Experience building or upgrading computers is a plus
Growth Path
  • Start by learning the basics and assisting senior techs
  • Grow into an IT Support Technician role with more independence
  • Continue building skills toward networking, cybersecurity, or project-based IT work
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $25,000–$30,000 annually, depending on certifications and experience
  • Paid time off and holidays
